RTD has one of the highest fares in the entire United States, while services have been reduced.
For mass transit to be successful, it has to be affordable and accessible to all of its riders, regardless of income or transportation needs.
Many Coloradans are losing their homes to both the skyrocketing cost of living and to displacement.
Pushing residents out of their homes places undue hardship on everyday people, increases traffic congestion and commuter times, and strains mass transit infrastructure.
The priority of all mass transit projects must be to serve the needs of the community.
Aurora is experiencing tremendous growth- which can mean opportunities for more jobs, homes, and businesses.
RTD must be willing to work with municipal officials to ensure that mass transit compliments
and supports that growth.
